Untutored, drop-in life drawing classes are held on Tuesday and Wednesday nights at No Vacancy Gallery from 7-9pm. Everyone is welcome to attend regardless of their age or experience. The classes give you the chance to draw the human figure in a relaxed and friendly environment. For $12, all of the materials are provided including paper, drawing boards, charcoal, pastels, pencils, and ink.

Please note: The classes fill up quickly. We advise you to come early as we do not accept bookings. Doors open at 6:30pm.

BACKGROUND

The life drawing classes started in September 2008 at No Vacancy Gallery, facilitated by Louise Klerks. Since then, the classes have attracted a large number of dedicated people who draw collectively each week.

Louise Klerks completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours Degree) at Sydney College of the Arts, New South Wales from 2002 -2005 followed by a Diploma of Education (Secondary) at University Of Melbourne, Victoria in 2007. Louise is the director of not-for-profit art space Chapter House Lane in Melbourne.
